How I learned masonry one joint at a time
I started out as a helper on a small masonry crew, mixing mortar and hauling brick and block for an old mason who made me learn every joint by hand. After years of that I went out on my own in 2013, and we've been doing brick, block and stone work around Columbia ever since. Most of our calls come from folks with older brick homes and from people planning a new wall, walkway or outdoor kitchen, and you can see everything we do from our home page.
We're best known for repair work on chimneys and cracked brick, and for tuckpointing, where we rake out worn mortar and pack the joints with fresh. I care most about finding out what's really wrong before anybody picks up a trowel, because a fix that misses the cause just comes back. And when we're done, I want the new work to look like it belongs on your house.

Permits, crew and walkthrough
Boone County handles inspections outside Columbia's city limits, so we check who covers your address and handle the permit paperwork. Our lead mason runs the crew, and I check the work and do the final walkthrough.
