Who we are and what this policy covers
Blockworks Columbia Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Columbia, MO. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, call us or ask for a quote, how we use it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
It applies to this website, starting from our home page, and to the information you give us while we're setting up an estimate or doing work at your house. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
Information you give us
Most of what we know about you is what you tell us when you fill out our contact form, call or email. That usually includes your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property and a description of the work you need.
If you send photos of a cracked wall, a chimney or a patio, we keep those with your request so our crew knows what to expect before we come out. We don't ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive details through the website.
Our contact form is run by an outside form service, so what you type into it is collected and stored by that service and then passed to us. That service handles your information under its own privacy terms.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some basic information when you visit. That can include your browser type, the kind of device you're using, the pages you look at, how you found the site and a general location based on your internet connection.
We use this to see which pages people read and where the site needs work. It isn't used to identify you by name, and we don't sell it.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files your browser saves so a website can remember things between visits. Our site and the analytics tools we use may set cookies to count visits, keep the site working and tell us which pages are useful.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work for reading pages and contacting us, though some features may not remember your choices.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to answer your request, schedule a visit, prepare your quote, do the work and follow up afterward. We may also call or email you about your project, such as to confirm a date or let you know about a weather delay.
We don't send marketing lists to other companies, and we won't put you on a newsletter you didn't ask for. We may also use information when the law requires it or to protect our business and our customers.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the business, like our form service, email, phone and website hosting providers, and only as much as they need to do that job.
If a permit office, an inspector or a supplier needs your project address or contact details for your job, we share what's needed for that job. We may also share information if a court or government agency legally requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and project notes for as long as we need them to finish your job, stand behind our work and keep ordinary business and tax records. If you asked for a quote and didn't hire us, we keep that request only as long as it's useful for following up.
When we no longer need the information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you at any time, and we'll do that.
Some states give residents additional privacy rights, and we'll honor a request made under the laws that apply to you. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request, so we don't hand your information to someone else.
We may have to keep some records even after a delete request when the law requires it, such as records of completed work and payments.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards to keep your information from being lost, misused or seen by people who shouldn't see it, and we limit who on our team can get to it. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send anything through the form that you'd be uncomfortable losing.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools or the law change. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page, and it applies from the time it's posted.
Questions or privacy concerns
If you have a question about your information or want to make a request, call us at (573) 530-1031 or reach us through our Contact page. Tell us what you're asking for, and we'll get back to you within 1 business day.
